Y'all Portlanders and Oregonians, Jacksonians and Mississippians, what do you know about churches with red doors, please?

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is at the corner of NW 19th and Everett. I walk by it some mornings on my way to work. The red doors fascinate me. I can't help but wonder, why red doors on a church? Anyone? Thank you.
