We left pit road and walked to the Dodge Drifting track outside Talladega Superspeedway. Ian got in line--he already had his bracelet that gave him permission to ride in one of the Dodge cars because he'd done it twice earlier in the week. I stood at the fence, taking photos of all sorts of drifting, waiting patiently for him to get his chance to ride. Ian's videotaping the whole ride, tires squealing!
Finally, as they made their way through the second lap, the driver is making some smoke come from the back tires. Not that he hadn't been drifting already, but no smoke appeared. After what I'd already witnessed, I have to say that I was shocked.
Yea, smokin'!
