Portland's most interesting utility pole ...

In the southeast and the northwest, the areas of Portland I frequent, you'd be hard pressed to come across a naked utility pole. Rain or shine, intrepid street teams armed with advertising sheets and a way to attach them roam from pole to pole, attaching the music news for all to read. Live entertainment lives in Portland.

I found this pole on the north side of Division, just east of 22nd, right in front of the TriMet wooden bench. What sets it apart encircles its base--that ring of tenacious grass, juxtaposed perfectly for one particular sign. Click on the photo and tell me if you agree.
