Three More from Cars in the Park, Hot Rods & Customs, Saturday, August 20

Milton and I walked along the streets, enjoying the cars. I went much more slowly, of course, because I can't resist taking one more photo after another. Kay enjoyed herself sitting in the sunshine on a park bench. She watched people, too, always a fun way to spend some time in Portland. 1919 Dodge Roadster, blown flathead Cadillac DSC_0141p DSC_0142p DSC_0146p 1954 Buick Century Convertible DSC_0205p DSC_0211p DSC_0202 DSC_0203 DSC_0207 DSC_0209 DSC_0208 DSC_0210 1939 Ford Coupe, built as a custom & race car in the '50's--on display beside the car, giant versions of a couple of magazine articles from 1953 and 1954, telling all about when this car ran at Bonneville Nationals, going 126.58 mph in 1953 and running 121.45 mph in 1954. That 54 Buick sure has been worked over. It doesn't look like the one my parents had! I guess it's the whole rear section that has been changed. That arty stuff on the front isn't from the factory either. :)
