An inflatable woman---one way to make it easy for your relay team to identify their support van

On the way back to Portland after Lamont's car quit on us, I saw this van through the windshield of the tow truck. I wonder if I'd been running my first leg in the relay if I would have had the brain power to find this among the hundreds of support vehicles. Surely I would have been in good enough shape to do so.

As you can see, support vans were everywhere, on the road and dropping off the next relay member and waiting for the one who had just finished his or her first leg. It's a long way from Mt. Hood to the Pacific Coast, so runners ran more than one leg.
